What is Physie & Dance?
Castle Hill Physie and Dance follows the Australian Physie and Dance Association (APDA) syllabus. The syllabus includes aerobic movement, ballet and floor work across multiple dance genres. All routines are performed to modern music with a focus on movement, musicality, technique, performance, flexibility and strength. We promote fitness and a general sense of wellbeing.
New choreography is created each year combining genres of jazz, contemporary, lyrical and dance to create an age-appropriate syllabus. This syllabus is taught by teachers at various clubs across Australia. Participants range in age from 3 years to Ladies 60+ years.
APDA choreography is designed to develop:
Physie promotes teamwork, positive self-esteem and friendship with many of our members forming lifelong friendships throughout their years at physie.
Physie clubs provide the opportunity to participate in weekly classes for exercise and in addition, and a competition schedule for those who are interested.
